Clifton's "Pacific Seas"
618 Sl. Olive St., Los Angeles
Step from the street with its dust and cries
Into an Island paradise.
Amid these tropic trees and flowers.
Find rest ad peace and happy hours,
Where rainbow waters cool the air;
Where girls with blossoms in their hair
Offer you tempting food to eat;
Where atmosphere is gay and sweet
With friendliness; where music sings
To lift your spirit on its wings.
From here you'll seek the streets again
Refreshed to meet your fellow men.

Sunset on the Desert
Fantastic scenes, mirages, and sunsets of great beauty are rare charms of the desert. The great variety of cactus shown in this picture are, left to right - the cholla, bisnaga or nigger-head, ocotillo or devil's coach-whip, palmas or prickly pear, giant sahuaro, and at the extreme right the barrel cactus. All are fortified with thorns as tho for the preservation of their lives - everything on the desert does battle for an existence.

Halfway between the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest, near Adamana, one of the finest specimen of ancient writings (pictographs) to be found in America. These writings are the expressions of an unknown primitive people of long, long go, Signs along the highway will direct you to them.
I saw News Paper Rock several years ago. Amazing.
