=CENTURY OF PROGRESS=

Hall of Science, Chicago World's Fair.
1933
As seen from the main lagoon.  Notice the carillon equipped tower, the rostrum at the right, the decorated cloth banner which serves as a background for the speaker, the three levels on which structure is build and the entrance to the medical exhibit at the lower level.  The Hall of Science is 700 by 400 feet.  At night it is brilliantly illuminated by indirect and fluctuating colored flood lights.  This structure is located at Sixteenth St. and the lake, with part of the building extending directly across Leif Erikson Drive--Chicago's famous waterfront boulevard.
