My choice for Sunday Stamps this week is
The First Day Cover from the
1962 Seattle, Washington World's Fair.
It features the Space Needle on the commemorative stamp.
I actually had the nerve to go all the way to the top
on my visit to Seattle.
It was exciting to say the least.

Take a moment to visit Sunday Stamps
Well a good one for today as it would be hard to find a theme to match this. Plus it's a great place and a great stamp.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us today!
I've never seen the Space Needle yet, hopefully this year.thank you for sharing the stamp.

It's a beautiful choice. I had never seen this stamp. And of course I wouldn't mind to go up the top...
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I think I have a FDC, but I don't remember that picture on the envelope. So, maybe not.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very elegant building. I probably wouldn't venture to the top, or if I did, only with my eyes closed.
ReplyDeleteLove the futuristic cover. I've seen the stamp before but didn't realise the Space Needle was still there after all these years. The video on the structure was fascinating, what a great piece of engineering.
