Valley Forge lies 24 miles from Philadelphia on the banks of the Schuylkill River where the picturesque Valley Creek empties into it. Washington's Army laid encamped on theses hills from Dec. 19, 1777, until June 19, 1778,while the British occupied Philadelphia. No spot on Earth is so sacred in the History of the Struggle for Human Liberty as Valle Forge.
