Greetings from NEW ORLEANS

 LOUISIANA

New Orleans is the largest city south of the Mason-Dixon Line.  It is now in its third century of existence and was a French and Spanish City for almost  100 years before it became a part of the United States.

 N.Y.

Watkins Glen, located at Seneca Lake, in the
Finger Lakes Country of Central New York, is one of the oldest public parks in America.  The Glen Park was founded in1863.  Centuries ago it was the stronghold of the Iroquois Confederacy, the first League of Nations.  The Glen, itself was termed Devil's Hole, and in the main entrance area the council fires burned and chiefs were raised.

No other cosmopolitan center anywhere compares with New York, the home of Broadway, the famous "Great White Way".  The city  boasts also the world's greatest theatrical center and the world's tallest office buildings.
To the Old World, New York, with the famous statue of Liberty in its front yard harbor.is the gateway to the land of promise and progress.
It is the Wonder City of the World.

Hello: The weather is a lot warmer and we can thaw out to enjoy ourselves.  We are even talking of going in swimming.  We have been here a week and haven't been in once.  It is a lot better having Gil here.  Now we aren't afraid to go out after dark.  The lake is a mirror today - just as pretty as a picture,
Love,
Ruth

Having a great time and am over on our soil again.  Did you know that I met the American Admiral at Quebec?  We had a chat and he introduced me to his wife.
