Greetings from NEW ORLEANS

 LOUISIANA

New Orleans is the largest city south of the Mason-Dixon Line.  It is now in its third century of existence and was a French and Spanish City for almost  100 years before it became a part of the United States.

Greetings from HOLBROOK

                                    ARIZ.

This comes to you from Holbrook, Arizona, which is the gateway to the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert -  the Hopi Indian Villages and the great Navajo Indian Country.

Holbrook was used as a shipping point by the pioneer cattlemen from the advent of the railroad.  Much of the early day strife between sheep and cattlemen centered near here.  The thrifty Mormons were the pioneer settlers.

It isn't a mecca for those who arrive
in the heat of August though.
We like Phoenix, however,
despite the extreme hot weather.
