LAND OF COTTON

BALES OF COTTON READY FOR SHIPMENT
now that's a lot of cotton balls.

Driving home from college years ago on a back road there was an old antebellum home surrounded by cotton fields.  It was a step back in time.  I will never forget the place.

GRAND CANYON

True story, stopped near the tower to watch sunset one time it was very beautiful.  When we turned back to get to the car we saw the most astonishing thing you can imagine.  That's right the full moon rising at the same time.
Just can't grasp how big this place really is.

"VENEZIA"

Been there...
Done that!
I have not seen anything more beautiful than Venice and the Grand Canal.
But just remember at 5am as the sun raises its head,
they have Garbage boats on the canal.
Not quite as picturesque.

"MISSION IMPOSSIBLE"

The founding of the Spanish Missions in California furnished an epic in history.  These historical monuments are reminders of the great Franciscan adventure.  Years of patient labor, decades of heroic sacrifice by Fray Junipera Serra and his Franciscan Brothers lie behind the era of the founding of the twenty one Missions and their branches, the ruins of which still stand in wonder and beauty, at various points along 690 miles of California's glorious coastal region.
