The Hotel Statler in Boston opens as the first hotel in the world to offer radio service in its guest rooms. This same service is installed in the chain's other hotels, including Detroit. It is a two channel system with guest able to select the channel from a receiver and listen with either 2 headsets or radio loudspeaker. The cost of this installation in Boston was $50,000 and it cost another $750,000 to install radios in the chain's six older houses.
The Boston hotel is the last hotel E.M. will build. E.M.'s empire includes hotels in Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis, New York, Boston, and two in Buffalo.

The 2013 Hunter’s Moon undergoes a lunar eclipse. There will be a subtle kind of lunar eclipse on the night of the 2013 Hunter’s Moon. For the continental U.S., as the moon rises in the east at dusk on Friday, October 18, the lunar disk will be partially covered over by the Earth’s faint penumbral shadow. That does not make this a very easy-to-observe eclipse for us in the U.S. It’s possible you won’t notice any shading at all on the moon’s surface at all.
Europe and Africa will be in a better position to see the subtle penumbral eclipse because it takes place at late night (instead of evening or morning twilight). For the most of Asia, the moon will be in eclipse as its sets at sunrise tomorrow (Saturday, October 19).
Be forewarned. The moon does not dip into the Earth’s dark umbral shadow during this eclipse. At no time will it appear as if a dark bite has been taken from the moon. At best, you might notice a slight shading of the moon’s southern limb.

Hope you had a chance to see the Moon tonight it was beautiful.  Maybe it was my imagination but I think I was able to see a part of the eclipse.  It seemed to me that the lower right portion of the moon was shadowed or of a different color.  It appeared to be yellowish in color,not white like the rest.

Along the Transcontinental Highways through the Pueblo Indian section of New Mexico it is a general custom for women and children to  display their handiwork to attract motorists to "Buy Pottery."  
Little girls are generally the most successful venders.
