Mission San Juan Bautista , California
the fifteenth mission, was founded June 2th. 1797. The Mission stands on a low mesa in the town of San Juan, midway between Salinas and Gilroy, overlooking a fruitful valley. The church dating from 1812, was the only one of the California Missions that had three aisles. The wing portions of the mission have fallen, but the central portion is in an excellent state of preservation, and parish services are held regularly.
I was lucky enough to visit the mission this past summer. Was beautiful.
