Santa Fe City of the Holy Faith end of the Santa Fe Trail. The very name spells history and romance. Along the quaint and narrow streets linger echos of the Conquistadors. Shouts of roistering wagon trainmen, safe from their journeys across plains infested with warring Indians, clicking castanets and tapping heels of dancing Senoritas, the quiet voices of the Friars who followed the flag of Spain. Today colorful Indians from nearby Pueblos, quaint architecture, the soft sound of spoken Spanish all intrigue the present day visitor.
