The Painted Desert of Arizona-a land of undulating plains and beaautifully colored terraced cliffs, displaying many contrasting colors and striking hues, combined to make a gorgeous spectacle. One area is along Highway 66, while others are easily reached from Holbrook, Winslow and the Grand Canyon of Arizona. The delicate hues of blues, reds purple, mauve, etc., are seen best in early morning or late afternoon, as mid-day being void of shadows, the coloring is less vivid
