Bagley Avenue, Birthplace of Ford Car,
Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Michigan
In this brick shed at the rear of 58 Bagley Avenue, Mr. Ford carried on some of his early automobile experiments while employed as an engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company. Three lathes, drill presses and hand tools are those used in building his first car. The right hand door had to be torn out and made larger because Mr. Ford forgot to measure the door when he built the car inside.

Great Ford advertising card! Is it linen?
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it. But it is not linen. I had to make an exception when I saw the image.
DeleteWonderful Ad card. Mr. Ford was always doing things like that -- he was "kind of a nut" !!! Fun cards. I love the linen cards. Love the watercolor look. Happy PFF
ReplyDeleteAnother incredibly beautiful postcard! Thank you so much, my Friend. If you copy it into the editing/composing area, then highlight the badge, you can press the icon for link, add it in there. That should do the job. Then you can copy it from from there week to week. That's what I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you again for joining us for PFF! Have a GREAT weekend, my dear!
I'm starting to really appreciate advertising cards! Look at all those great coloured Ford trucks!
ReplyDeleteNice arrangement of cards for the advertisement card. I know nothing about cars and I'm happy to read about some history of the famous Ford brand.
ReplyDeleteHappy PFF and happy weekend!
