I didn't have any Historical Sepia Cards from the Great War,
100 years past. But I was able to come up with this card of a young boy in uniform showing respect for the Soldiers
who have gone before.
The card is dated 5/11/18
With Best Wishes
to Emma and Family
From Little Georgie Fleming
The Card has been identified at top in hand print as:
HIPPODROME PERFORMER
Looks like Little Georgie may have been on stage spreading the Patriotic Ideal.

ReplyDeletePatriotism Lives! :))
ReplyDeleteThe cap looks too big for him -- do you suppose it's his father's?
ReplyDeleteDeb, Could have been I guess. Enjoyed your post by the way.
DeleteI wonder how old he was.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell how old he might be. The Face looks older than the rest of the body. What do you think?
DeleteA performer, like an early Micky Rooney? Interesting postcard and post.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a serious and determined glint in Little Georgie’s eye! He’s probably older than would appear from his body size; the face, as you say, looks much older.
ReplyDeleteWonder if he was in the next war.
