PAUL BUNYAN, BEMIDJI, MINNESOTA
MINNESOTA'S Lengendary Paul Bunyan
This huge figure of steel and concrete built on the shore of Lake Bemidji is supposed to be the size of giant lumberjack who cut down six sections of timber with one stroke of his axe. "Babe", Paul's blue ox was said to have used Lake Bemidji for a watering hole.
He's 63 axe handles high, with feet on the ground and his head in the sky.
